The Kia EV2 - Compact Electric Car - Coming Soon
Kia has revealed UK pricing and specifications for the Kia EV2, a fully-electric B-segment SUV offering space for five in Kia’s most compact EV package to date. The EV2 line-up starts at £24,245 including automatic deduction of Kia Reservation Saving, on the road and offers one of the longest ranges on a single charge of all EVs under £25,000.
The Kia EV2 is offered with a choice of two battery options from launch. A 42.2kWh standard-range battery pack is offered exclusively on the ‘First Edition’ variant, while a 61.0kWh long-range battery pack is offered exclusively on ‘Air’, ‘GT-Line’ and ‘GT-Line S’ with a range up to 274 miles on a single charge (WLTP pending).

Selected derivatives with up to £3,750 Reservation Saving
The Kia EV2 ‘First Edition’ is now eligible for the £1,500 UK Government’s Electric Car Grant (ECG). The ECG replaces the £1,500 ‘Kia EV2 Reservation Saving’* that was introduced for the EV2 'First Edition' on 1 April, as part of Kia's latest quarterly offers. Now, the £1,500 ECG is available for all EV2 ‘First Edition’ customer orders (retail and fleet).
The £3,750 'Kia EV2 Reservation Saving'* offer continues for the EV2 ‘Air’, ‘GT-Line’ and ‘GT-Line S’, with news on ECG eligibility for these variants to come later in the year.
The EV2 is additionally available with the new £500 EV2 Family Upgrade offer. Ideal for customers considering the EV2 as a second car, this offer takes £500 off the on-the-road price and is available to existing Kia Finance customers^ with no trade-in requirement.
The EV2 is available with a variety of affordable finance options. Reservations available now at Drayton Motors Kia, deliveries commence later in 2026.

The EV2 ‘First Edition’ is the first EV2 variant which will arrive in the UK, as production of the vehicle has already commenced. It is offered exclusively with the standard-range 42.2kWh battery pack, and acts as an affordable ‘halo’ model with a high level of specification.

The Kia EV2 ‘GT-Line’ introduces a bold, sporty look, and is traditionally Kia’s best-selling trim level across all models in the UK. Alike the ‘Air’, EV2 ‘GT-Line’ is only offered with Kia’s long-range 61.0kWh battery pack.
‘GT-Line’ variants feature the following additions over the standard equipment list:

About the Kia Reservation Saving
The Kia EV2 is currently pending approval for the UK Government’s Electric Car Grant. If approved, qualifying customers will receive either £3,750 or £1,500 off the purchase price through the grant. If not approved, Kia will apply an equivalent Reservation Saving of £3,750 on EV2 ‘Air’, ‘GT-Line’ and ‘GT-Line S’, or £1,500 on EV2 ‘First Edition’. The saving is automatically applied to the retail invoice and is available with a non-binding reservation of a new Kia EV2 in the UK between 1 April and 30 June 2026. Retail Sales only. Offer can be used alongside other Kia offers. Customers will receive either the Government grant or the equivalent Kia discount; these cannot be combined. The discount is applied at point of sale. -

The Electric Car Grant is a UK Government grant to promote the purchase of certain new electric vehicles. The Kia EV2 First Edition now qualifies for Tier 2 of the Electric Car Grant, receiving £1,500 off the purchase price through the Government grant. Alternative derivatives of the Kia EV2 model are currently pending eligibility approval for this scheme. If these derivatives are approved and included in the scheme, then customers purchasing a qualifying derivative will receive £3,750 off the purchase price through the Government grant. The relevant saving will be automatically applied to the on-the-road price on the retail invoice for your vehicle. Please note that the maximum AER figure is determined by the specific trim and wheel type of each EV2 variant, among other factors, and that the following figures apply: an all-electric range of up to 190 miles (18” wheels) and 196 miles (16” wheels).
The range was determined according to the standardized EU measurement procedure (WLTP). The individual driving style and other factors, such as speed, outside temperature, topography and the use of electricity-consuming devices/units, have an influence on the real-life range and can possibly reduce it.
