  Omoda|Jaecoo are part of Chery, a state-owned Chinese car company. The vehicles we will get in the UK for the brand’s launch are badged as Chery models in China and other markets.

  Wilson & Co rebrands as Drayton Motors

  Welcome to Drayton Motors - A New Name. A New Era. A New Energy.

  Highly successful local car retailer, Wilson & Co, has officially rebranded as Drayton Motors in Bolton, Scunthorpe and Grimsby. Effective on the 1st April, this new era in the company’s evolution reflects its continued growth, investment and long-term vision for the future. At Drayton Motors, while you’ll find the same friendly customer-facing team, additional staff will be recruited and extensively trained to further enhance the levels of service offered to customers. As a result, more exciting local employment opportunities will be available in the near future.

  New appointments have been made in the company’s management structure to further enhance the business which will continue to invest in its people, with staff training always being of paramount importance.

  Following a full strategic review of the business in 2024, the Group gained three brand new rapidly growing franchises to its portfolio, adding two BYD locations in Bolton and Boston, and two OMODA-Jaecoo locations in Grantham and Louth. This strengthens its representation of these popular new entrant brands, with all three offering high levels of quality and exceptional value for money. Drayton Motors continues to represent the highly successful KIA, Vauxhall, Peugeot and Suzuki brands from 10 locations across Lincolnshire and Lancashire.

  From 1st April, customers will begin to see the new Drayton Motors branding on showroom signage, digital platforms, website and all customer communications. In addition, staff uniforms and in-store materials will feature the business’s smart new corporate identity. Remember though, that Drayton Motors will continue to operate from its current locations, with no changes to opening hours, contact details or to the teams that customers will know.

  The rebrand unifies the business under the Drayton Motors name, strengthening its market position while maintaining the same customer-first values that have defined Wilson & Co for decades. Despite the company’s new identity, customers will still encounter the same friendly and efficient team at all its locations. All customer-facing staff, locations, services, and customer commitments remain completely unchanged.

  Managing Director, Chris Roberts, concludes: “This new development represents an exciting new chapter for our business. Rebranding to Drayton Motors allows us to build on our strong foundations while positioning ourselves for future growth. What matters most is that our customers will continue to be looked after by the same dedicated team, with the same commitment to exceptional service.”
