Happy Retirement, Sheila!

After a long and dedicated career, the Wilson and Co team wave a fond farewell to Sheila!

  • It’s a sad day here at Wilson & Co Grimsby, as we say good bye to Sheila who is the Credit controller for the Grimsby Market Area and Drayton Motors Kia. As we celebrate Sheila’s long standing career – we also wish her well and share in her excitement for what her retirement will bring!

Sheila first started working in the motor trade in 1985 when she joined Cromwell Motors and has seen quite a few changes in her time! The first change was in 1992 when Cromwell Motors merged with County Motors to become Cromwell County along with the big move to Hewitt’s Avenue.

Then in 1999 Cromwell County was sold to Wilson & Co, that’s when she became part of The CO. In her time with Wilson & Co, Sheila has seen the company grow from3 sites to 8 sites. Sheila has also seen quite a few people come and go many of whom she has formed lifelong friendships with!

Sheila has always been the mother of the work family, offering love and support both personally and professionally.

In her retirement Sheila and Steve are planning on travelling in their campervan starting with Scotland this October. The plans are to then move across Europe – obviously Covid dependent!

Apart from travelling, Sheila will also be enjoying pampering sessions or relaxing with a good book or two!

We all wish you the very best, Sheila. Thank you for the dedication you have shown in your career, your hard work and for being a great friend to many. You will be missed although we know the friendships you have made will go on! Happy Retirement!

  • A very socially distanced speech from Robin Wilson, Managing Director

Managing Director, Robin Wilson, may have been working over in the Bolton dealership - but by the power of Teams, was able to join in the celebrations and thank Sheila for her hard work over the years!

This has added to what seems to have been a lovely day and a chance for all members of the Co to wish Sheila all the very best in her retirement!
