The home of electric: Suzuki hybrid and electric cars.
All that you expect from Suzuki.
With Suzuki, going hybrid doesn’t mean you’ll be skimping on performance – quite the opposite. Our hybrid systems are light and compact, and when combined with a lightweight chassis and responsive efficient petrol engine, this means you can expect nimble performance as well as improved efficiency.

REASONS TO GO HYBRID WITH SUZUKI
-
1. LOWER RUNNING COSTS
Hybrid technology has many advantages, but one of the main benefits is that Hybrid models use less fuel compared to non-hybrid models.
A Suzuki Hybrid system has the ability to store energy that would normally be lost during braking and deceleration, so it can be used again. It can also save fuel by restarting the petrol engine, assisting the petrol engine during acceleration and even drive the vehicle on zero emission, electric only power, depending on the type of Hybrid car.
Hybrid consistently improves fuel economy by between 10% - 15%* for Ignis, Swift, Vitara & S-Cross. How? Well the Hybrid system provides electrical assistance to the petrol engine in certain conditions, so less fuel is needed.
For some of our Hybrid vehicles, for example Swace and Across, the Hybrid system has capability to drive the vehicle using the electric motor only for periods of time, helping to significantly improve fuel efficiency and lower fuel costs.
*Compared to the equivalent outgoing model without hybrid and using the official WLTP combined fuel consumption and CO2 emissions figures.

2. LOWER CO2 EMMISSIONS
Hybrid cars are becoming more and more popular, and one big reason is the reduction in carbon dioxide emissions they offer.
Having an electric motor that can assist the petrol engine, means you achieve better fuel efficiency and emit fewer harmful CO2 emissions. Win win.
You can reaD more about how fuel consumption and CO2 emissions from passenger cars are assessed by learning more about the World Harmonised Light Vehicle Test Procedure (WLTP).

3. NO CHARGING WITH SUZUKI
Worried about charging? You don't need to be.
With all Suzuki Hybrid models (except the Plug-in Across) it's a self-charging Hybrid system, so you can have peace of mind on long journeys and don't have to worry about interrupting your drive to find somewhere to charge.
Energy that would normally be lost during braking and deceleration is used to generate electricity and charge the Hybrid battery - so you don't need to think about it.

4. A BETTER DRIVE ALL ROUND
HYBRID doesn't just improve your Suzuki’s efficiency: it also improves how it drives.
The Hybrid system cleverly assists the engine at different times during driving, to reduce engine noise and make driving feel more smooth.
Depending on the model you choose, the Hybrid system can act as a starter motor when the engine has auto stopped (for example at traffic lights), then assist the engine restart and even start off the vehicle and drive at low speeds using the electric motor only (Swace & Across only), all of which result in a smoother, quieter and more efficient drive.
-
5. NO CHANGE TO HOW YOU DRIVE
You can drive a Suzuki Hybrid car as you would a regular non-hybrid car, so you don't have to compromise your normal driving style.
For our smaller cars, the hybrid components are extremely compact and light. That means they remain light and fun to drive and keep their practical interior space without any compromise from the hybrid system.
All Suzuki Hybrid cars have the reassurance that they can be driven using just a conventional petrol engine when needed.
